Brian Landis, LCMHC
I am a LCMHC in North Carolina who has experience working with teens through adults. Currently I work with individuals, families, and couples ages 13 and up who have a variety of needs such as general coping skills, school issues, self-esteem, parenting issues, retirement, divorce, family conflicts, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+, issues related to chronic medical illness, grief issues and life adjustments. I have experience working in the school setting as well as previous experience in the private practice setting.
We all face challenges and could use extra support at times. It is my life’s purpose and passion to help others live meaningful and Joy-filled lives. Together, let’s explore the mental, emotional and behavioral patterns that are interfering with your ability to maintain harmony within yourself and in your relationships with others.
It takes strength to admit we are having difficulty managing problems. You are not alone, I am here to empower you to find that strength you need. It takes strength and courage that we can build together to reach our goals. It takes one step towards our goals to make that change. Let’s take that step together.
David Wood, LCMHC, LCAS
I have received extensive training in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Sand Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have experience working in medically assisted treatment programs and mental health clinics. It is a top priority of mine to provide a safe environment for continued healing. I enjoy working with ages 12 and up, families, couples and individuals who may be struggling with a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. I have many life experiences to draw from as I started my vocational career in the U.S. military (Air Force), eventually working in law enforcement and training law enforcement personnel. With this past experience it is also a passion of mine to work with first responders.
We often hear, “Life is a journey.” I believe this thought is the foundation of all that we do, as there are many experiences that are instrumental in shaping the course of your life. At times, a different course might be better. In counseling, there is guidance in understanding the ‘direction’ of your life and living according to your values. When the course of our life is at odds with our values there may be depression, anxiety, and/or family issues. Let me help today, let your journey begin anew.

“This is not what I signed up for.” Have you ever felt that way or said those words out loud – repeatedly? Life is hard; change is hard…and inevitable. These are unprecedented and uncertain times all over the world. If you are feeling overwhelmed by new circumstances or worn out from the everyday, sign up to partner with someone who wants to be a part of your journey meeting your challenges. We were not designed to walk this life alone. As your counselor, I am committed to creating a safe space for you to be honest about who you are, where you are, and where you want to be.
I have extensive experience facilitating recovery groups through my church’s recovery ministry. In this role, I have served adult women struggling with a broad spectrum of life issues. I have also worked with high risk adolescents in the individual, group, and residential settings who struggled with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, substance use, personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, suicidality, self-injuring behaviors, disinhibited social engagement disorder, and family conflict.
Let’s navigate this together. You can find peace and hope amidst uncertainty and build the confidence to move towards a new normal.
Heather Drum, LCMHCS, LCAS
I am a therapist licensed in the treatment of both mental health and substance use, practicing in this field for over 20 years. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, severe and persistent mental illness, women’s issues, and adjustment matters regarding relationships & life changes. I utilize a collaborative strengths-based approach, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and elements of Solutions Focused Counseling. This approach is individualized to each person’s goals and needs. I also value the importance of supporting the entire family system.
When providing couples counseling, I utilize the Gottman Method, focusing on disarming conflict, increasing communication & intimacy, removing barriers, and increasing empathy & understanding of the couple’s relationship.
I believe wholeheartedly that everyone experiences moments in their life where they struggle with their mental health and that our mental well-being is equally as important as our physical well-being. As we learn to care for ourselves both mentally and physically, we can enhance our quality of life and well-being. My goal as your therapist will be to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for your ultimate healing to begin.

I earned my BA in English & Linguistics from UNC Charlotte in 2015. After graduating, I worked in corporate supply chain, but found that the industry was not a good fit for me. I’ve always been passionate about mental health, and in 2020 I left my corporate role to join my mom in starting our business.
Since then, we have had the opportunity to grow and connect with passionate and talented therapists across the US.
I’m currently working on my MBA at Appalachian State University. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with my husband Mitch, our 2 cats (Rocket & Sirius) and our Alaskan Malamute, Mishka.
